Burberry collaborates with Russian streetwear designer

Burberry is ‘on trend’ when it comes to partnerships. They’ve partnered with the likes of Apple in the past and here’s a good example of using a partner to consolidate your market and brand positioning.

For property brands selling overseas, there’s a big opportunity to create meaningful relationships in those markets. It doesn’t have to be one size fits all.  

Gosha Rubchinskiy has unveiled a limited-edition collection, created in collaboration with Burberry. The Russian streetwear designer’s line included eight pieces, which were shown at Rubchinskiy’s runway show, hosted in a rave venue in St Petersburg. The collection – including a reinterpretation of the traditional Burberry trench coat – were created with the brand’s CEO Christopher Bailey.
